Spot Premium

One upgrade covers both of you. A single subscription gives you and your partner higher limits (more lists, more items per list, more photo slots), pinned lists that never expire, plus shopping reminders, notes on your items, and reusable list templates you can share with anyone as a link.

$9.99 / year or $1.49 / month, billed by Google Play (or the App Store). Prices are shown in your local currency in the store and may vary slightly by country.

Questions & answers

Does my partner need to pay too?

No, one subscription covers you and one partner. Spot links your most recent list partner automatically, and you can change who’s covered once every 30 days.

Can Spot remind me to shop?

Yes. With Premium you can set a reminder on any list, and Spot notifies you at the time you choose. Reminders are per-device and private, your partner isn’t notified.

Can I ask my partner about an item?

Yes. Premium adds notes right on a grocery item, a quick way to ask “which one?” so your partner answers there and the question stays with the item instead of scrolling away in a chat. Notes are private to the two of you and clear with the list.

Can I reuse a list?

Yes. With Premium you can save any list as a template, then start a fresh list from it anytime, and the template stays untouched. Handy for the weekly shop or a recurring trip.

Can I share a template with someone?

Yes. With Premium you can share any of your templates as a link. Anyone you send it to can add a copy to their own Spot, even a friend who is new to the app. Receiving and previewing a shared template is free; turning it into a shoppable list is a Premium feature. Handy for a nutritionist’s plan or a friend’s recipe.

We use different phone brands. Does it still work?

Yes. Premium lives in your Spot account, not in the store, so your partner is covered even on a different platform, with nothing to buy or set up on their side.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. After that your limits return to Free, pinned lists can expire again, list reminders turn off, adding notes to items needs Premium again (notes already on an item stay readable), and saving or reusing templates needs Premium (your saved templates stay). Notes follow the list owner’s plan, so on your own lists they stop for your partner too, even if they have Premium. Nothing is deleted the moment you downgrade; your existing lists keep a fair notice period first.

And if I subscribe again later?

Your limits and pin protection come back as soon as you resubscribe, and every list still on your account picks up where it left off. Lists that expired while you were away don’t come back. Your saved templates always stay.

What does Spot see about my payment?

Nothing sensitive. Google Play (or the App Store) processes the payment as the merchant of record; Spot never sees your card or bank details, only that your account has Premium. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

In the store where you bought it: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (or the App Store equivalent). Cancelling there stops future renewals; Spot has no separate cancellation step.
