Delete your Spot account

Spot is a shared grocery-list app. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

If you subscribed to Spot Premium

Deleting your account erases your data, but it does not cancel your Spot Premium subscription. Google Play keeps billing you. Cancel it first in Google Play subscriptions, then delete your account. If you bought Premium and cover a partner, you both keep it until the end of the time you already paid for, then Premium ends for both of you.

In the app

Open Spot and sign in.
Open Settings (gear icon, top right).
Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

If you use Spot without an account

Guest sessions have no email address, so we cannot verify an emailed request as yours. Open Spot and use Settings → Delete my account. It works without a password and erases everything immediately. If you have already uninstalled the app there is no way back into that guest account; unused guest accounts are removed periodically.

If you’ve uninstalled the app

Email privacy@spotgrocery.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We erase it within 30 days (usually right away).

What gets deleted

Your account and sign-in credentials.
The lists you created and all their items.
Your verification photos (removed from storage within minutes).
Invitations addressed to you.

Lists you joined as a partner stay on the owner’s account (they aren’t ours to delete) but your name is removed from them. In rare cases we may retain specific content for a limited period where the law requires it (for example, a report we are legally obligated to preserve); see our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your lists without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your account to remove your data. Settings → Delete my lists erases your lists and everything in them: items, verification photos and notes. Your account stays open.

You choose what is included:

Lists you share with a partner.
Lists you joined.
Whether pinned lists are kept.

A single list can also be erased from its own delete dialog. Deletion is immediate and permanent in every case.
